Meet Jeremy, a hair stylist with 28 years of experience and 20+ years as a salon owner. With a background in technical cutting and 13 years working as a platform artist, editorial stylist, and session stylist internationally, Jeremy is a master in the craft.

Owner / Elite Stylist
Chelsea Hoffart is a seasoned stylist with her hands in hair industry since 2002 years. She has taken countless cutting + coloring classes from international brands including Davines, Kevin Murphy, Oribe, Mekka, Vidal Sassoon, Balmain Couture hair extensions, Bellami Extensions, Evo, Amika, R+Co, BLEU, Schwarzkopf, Redken, Wella, and more! In addition, she has also taken Braiding and Plaiting Classes, Session Styling and Updo Classes, as well as Leadership, Small Business, Social media & Marketing, Microblading, and Accounting courses.
When she is not busy creating stunning hairstyles and running the business, you can find her spending time with her family, researching how to improve her skills, or cuddling with her fur baby, Biggie! Chelsea is always striving to better herself and the business, making her a highly sought-after stylist in the industry.

Hey, my name is Jenna-Wade, I have been in the industry for 12 years.
I started my career back in 2011, and I have loved every moment since. My career has taken me to Minneapolis, Toronto and Santa Monica, where I attended Vidal Sassoon @vidalsassoonglobal . I have also travelled to Los Angeles for one of my favorite classes at the 901 Academy @901academy
I love helping clients, love their hair and creating new found confidence in people. My passion is creating beautiful, lived in blondes and tonal brunettes.
In my downtime, I love to cook. Creating a dish is always so fun for me because it’s another way to be creative. I love me a good looking charcuterie board…

KELSEY
Hairstylist: Colorist / Balayage

I’ve been in and out of the hair industry since i was in high school, but dove in deep about 7 years ago! Hair has always been my passion. I couldn’t be happier to have made this my career.
I moved to Calgary from Toronto in April 2021, and have worked here at 1977 since then! Ever since my first long distance FaceTime interview with Chelsea, i knew i had found my new home here.
My favourite thing about hair styling is color. The ability to make you feel shiny brand new inside and out after an appointment is a magical thing. I'm still working on perfecting my haircutting skills, and currently I do not offer haircuts shoulder length or shorter.
When I’m not at the salon, you might catch me making @squeezeclubto hair clips, binge watching reality TV (guilty pleasure) or eating at my current favourite restaurant @patandbettys
Accepting new clients/friends as always 🤍 can’t wait to meet you at my second home 1977!
COLBY
Hairstylist: Curly / Textured Hair Specialist + Vivid Color Specialist + Barbering
Hey there, I’m Colby! I grew up in Martensville before moving to Saskatoon, then to Regina, SK.
I’ve FINALLY arrived in Calgary with my two hairless cats (Kyle and Travis) in tow, which is more my speed. I previously had a career in HR before realizing my passion for the hair industry. I made the switch five years ago and have not looked back.
My favourite services to provide behind the chair are short cuts, vibrant colours and naturally textured/curly hair. The most rewarding part of being a stylist is helping each client reach their hair goals and feel more confident. I also love getting inspired and challenging myself with creative shoots. I’m proud to say my work has been published in 16 magazines and made it as a finalist for the Salon Magazine Canadian Hairstylist of the Year Awards (the Contessas) in 2021.
I am beyond excited for this new chapter in Calgary, and I can’t wait to work alongside and learn from such a diverse and talented group of people at Nineteen Seventy-Seven.
SYDNEY
Hairstylist: Colors & Cuts / Extension Enthusiast
Hi, I’m Sydney!
I've been a part of the Nineteen Seventy-Seven family since I was 17 years old, and I’ve had the privilege of growing up in my hair home, surrounded by some of the best in the industry. From folding towels to answering phones, I’ve done it all. I even nannied for Chelsea & Jeremy’s amazing little girls—my new best friends, by the way.
In June 2023, I graduated from hair school at MC College in Calgary, and I am finally behind the chair at Nineteen Seventy-Seven! I couldn’t be more excited to take on my dream role as a stylist and work in a creative setting that I am beyond passionate about. I've gained so much knowledge by being on the floor at one of my favorite places on earth, alongside the greatest role models.
My specialties include: coloring hair of all shades, extensions (braidless weaves, tape-ins, k-tips, I-tips, and nano beads), and cutting and styling all hairstyles. I’m happy to take on new clients and look forward to building a clientele of my own.
When I’m not at the salon or school, you’ll probably find me at a concert, tearing up the Greta Bar dance floor, or hanging with my kitty, Doja Cat.
I can’t wait to see all your beautiful faces in my chair :)
CHRISTINA
Hairstylist: Advanced Hair Cutting

Hello, I’m Christina.
I’ve been a stylist for over 12 years, in Calgary.
My specialities are haircutting (any length/any texture with an emphasis on short structured cuts, long hair, and clipper cuts) and any lightening service (bleach and tone, balayage, highlights, and colour corrections) although I am always glad to accommodate a simple root touch up or toner.
My approach to cutting/colouring is to achieve a long lasting and intricate result while being mindful of the integrity and health of the hair.
During my career I have been fortunate to extend my training to Santa Monica and Toronto for Vidal Sassoon and Schwarzkopf advanced cut and colour courses.
Additionally, very grateful to have had the opportunity of receiving personal recognition as a recommended Calgary stylist by FLARE magazine’s online blog in 2017.
